Nikos Nikopoulos

Nikos Nikopoulos is a photographer, photography teacher, and curator at the creative photography workshop ‘My Outside World,’ which is part of the programs of the  Special Education Center for Children with Special Needs K.E.E.P.E.A. ‘Horizons.’ He  volunteers as a photographer with the Down Syndrome Association of Greece and the  Special Olympics. He was born in Athens. He first encountered photography in 2017 by  attending the photography workshop of the Municipality of Peristeri, with teacher Vasilis  Nikas. He then attended photography seminars for beginners and advanced students with  Loukas Vasilikos. He has participated in solo and group photography exhibitions in Athens  and Thessaloniki. His photographs are featured on book covers and within books. He has  created photographic projects curated by Vasilis Nikas (‘Les Autres’) and Loukas Vasilikos  (‘Humility,’ ‘Individual Sessions,’ ‘Rawt’). His work has been presented in photography clubs and workshops. He was a speaker at the 1st and 3rd ‘RoDi: The Reflection of Disability in  Art’ festival, with a talk on the experiential relationship between the photographer and  disability.

Katerina Saranti

Katerina Saranti was born in 1984 in Rhodes. She is a graduate of the photography department of IEK AKMI. Her involvement with photography began in 2011  with the photography group of the University of Crete and the artistic seminar led by Loukas Vasilikos. She has participated in several group exhibitions of both analog and  digital photography, as well as programs related to photography, such as the European  program “Zoom into the World” (2011-2012) and the Municipality of Athens program “Night  Day,” the Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair 2019, the art exhibition  “Human Trace” curated by Panos Kapralos, and the exhibition of the Photometria Festival  2019, “I Have a Dream.” She has also received honorary distinctions, the most notable of  which is the 1st place in the European competition “Run for Art” in 2016. She has worked  as a photographer and is currently employed as a public servant. She has focused on her  athletic career, being an active paratriathlete, while also working on her personal  photography projects.

Thodoris Nikolaou

Thodoris Nikolaou is a photographer and journalist, born in 1982 in Chalkis, Greece. His first involvement with investigative journalism was at TA NEA newspaper of the Lambrakis  Press Organization. He specializes in social reporting, conducting numerous investigations  and field assignments.
In the following years, his interest shifted toward photography, leading him to complete a multi-year journey across the Balkans. This project was published by Agra Publications  under the title "Aimos: Wanderings in the Balkans".
His work consistently focuses on people, with key areas of interest including mental health, refugee movements, economic, ecological, and pandemic crises, socially  vulnerable  groups, and societal transformations.
His articles, projects, research, and interviews have been published in media in Greece and abroad. His work has also been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions worldwide.
He holds a Master’s degree in Photography and Visual Language, a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences, and has specialized in Documentary Photography. He teaches Documentary Photography and Visual Storytelling at photography schools and workshops.

Anna Ch. Papachristou

Anna Ch. Papachristou is a Psychologist and works at the EKEC AMEA in Thessaloniki. She worked for 16 years with individuals with Down syndrome, founding the first photography group exclusively for these individuals. She has been taking photography  essons with instructor Tasos Schizas since 2020 and is a member of the Photography Group  F. She has participated in group exhibitions with various photography groups in Greece and  abroad and has been awarded second place in the 12th Panhellenic Photography Competition  of the Photography Club of Volos.

Christina Kakani

My name is Christina Kakani and I am twenty-one (21) years old. I am a third-year student of the Department of Education and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia, with specialization in Special Education. Since my childhood I started to be involved in the photography, because of my father’s profession, who is a photographer and has his own photography studio. For the last three (3) years I have been undertaking and personal professional photo shootings, but also the management of social media business. I am a volunteer at the R.o.D.i. Festival, with my main task being capturing the various activities of this festival. At the same time, I am an athlete and in my personal life I like to travel.

Maria Papasotiri

Head of T. C.M. (Department of the Thessaloniki Film Festival)

Maria Papasotiri works in the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum (Department of the Thessaloniki Film Festival) ever since 2003. Since 2009, she is the Head of TCM’s  educational department. Since 2016, she is the Director of TCM, charged with the  coordination, organization and implementation of all actions and events, as well as of the  MEDIA funded European programs that take place in the Museum. Moreover, she is involved  as one of the members of the film selection team in the NextGen section, the educational  program of TIFF and TΙDF. She holds a Master’s Degree in Communication and Culture from  AUTh’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Moreover, she has a Bachelor’s  degree in Greek Culture from the Hellenic Open University.
