Today is the day dedicated to Deaf and hard of hearing people. The documentary “The Power of Hands” tells the story of Esmeralda's life from birth to adulthood. In the short documentary “A Sonorous Melody” we are transported to Indonesia where Deaf people learn to communicate mainly orally and not with sign language. The film “The Loud Song of Silence” presents the journey of the Deaf actor of the Nedoslov Theater, Daria Katidis, while the short film “The Sound of The Sea” tells the story of two parents when they discover that their baby is Deaf. We enjoy the relationship of a CODA child (Children of Deaf Adults) with his Deaf father in the also short film “Out of water”. In “Hear in Between”, Raddit is hearing impaired due to a genetic syndrome, while Tharcisse from Rwanda is the Deaf shoemaker in the short “Tharcisse A.K.A Drogba - The deaf shoe maker”. “Do You Understand?” captures the feelings of Deaf people through a poem in British Sign Language and finally we see the story of yet another child of Deaf Adults in “I am CODA”.
