Today’s screenings deal with the dimensions of the lives of people with disabilities, the obstacles, the struggles and society's contribution to them. In particular, in "Extraordinary Common People" we travel to Argentina to experience the reality of young people with acquired disabilities caused by traffic accidents, the main cause of death in the country. The lead actors of "Seconds outside", through their effort to defend the misunderstood sport of boxing, bring us into contact with the world's wrong prejudices against it that parallel the social stigma against intellectual disability. "Black Chalk" shows the story of a woman with
Down syndrome who writes a list of her daily activities with black chalk in order to organize her life. Watching "I Run Into Chairs" we detect the stereotypes that arise from people's behavior towards a blind young man and the possibilities for his rehabilitation and continuing his life with the disability. Obstacles are also discussed in "Close your eyes and fly", through a woman with congenital blindness who achieved the impossible for many, piloting a plane. Finally, in "Who will clean your house?" a young man with an intellectual disability is about to start his life from scratch and face the challenge of fear of the unknown and change of environment.
