These films deal with the issue of self-determination of individuals with disabilities. How do individuals with disabilities perceive their personality and themselves? To what extent are the family and society ready to perceive the inherent needs of individuals with disabilities to develop their personal "Ego"? Issues such as participation, daily life, independence, personal choices, available support systems and psychological empowerment are addressed and demonstrated through these films. These issues prove to be universal, as they seem to concern populations in different parts of the world. Personal relationships determine the development of self-determination in individuals with disabilities. Self-determination and hetero-determination try to be embedded and attributed in the everyday life of individuals with disabilities.
